Hindi Class
At Sarvadeo Mandir we offer a special Hindi curriculum which takes the student from no Hindi experience to where they would be able to speak, read and write in Hindi.
Topics:
Speech:
Students will begin this class by learning to speak Hindi through model sentences, vocabulary, grammar, gender, etc.
Writing:
Students will write Hindi words using Hindi letters, starting with simple words as they expand their ability to full sentences, paragraphs and essays.
Reading:
While writing is important, the ability to read Hindi is essential to get a wider vocabulary, knowledge and better understanding of grammar.
Students will begin by reading simple letters and making their sounds, combining two letters, three letters etc. Students will learn to use half letters from consonants and vowels and make their sounds as well as reading them in words, sentences, paragraphs as well as both short and long stories / articles.

Classes will be on a weekly basis on Fridays through zoom

Dance Classes
Our dance classes will be held at the Temple conducted by the Sundarta Dance Academy.
Students will be exposed to a dynamic blend of classical and contemporary Indian dance forms. Our training focuses on three dance styles: Kathak, Bharatnatyam, and Bollywood, each offering unique cultural, spiritual, and expressive vessels.
Our classical curriculum emphasizes Kathak and Bharatnatyam: two of the most revered and ancient Indian dance forms. Kathak, known for its intricate footwork (tatkar), graceful spins, and emotive storytelling, is taught alongside Bharatnatyam, which brings sharp movements, powerful expressions (abhinaya), and structured rhythms rooted in our ancestral Indian tradition. These classical styles are not only taught as technical disciplines but also as spiritual practices, often paired with bhajans and other devotional music to deepen our students’ connection to worship through movement.
Complementing this foundation is our Bollywood dance structure, which draws inspiration from the vibrant world of Indian film. This style incorporates elements of classical & western dance forms to create expressive performances set to popular film songs. Students will learn to embody storytelling through choreography that is both engaging and entertaining.
By fusing the spiritual discipline of classical Indian dance with the expressive freedom of Bollywood, Sundarta Dance Academy provides a holistic and inclusive dance experience; one that honors tradition, celebrates culture, and encourages every dancer to find their own rhythm

Music Classes
Sarvadeo Mandir is offering a vocal and harmonium class which starts at the beginner’s level.
The curriculum is as follows where students will learn the very basic subjects and terms of Indian classical music, understand taals (beats), and eventually songs that are heard throughout the ages. It is a blend of Indian classical, semi-indian classical, Bollywood, ghazals and bhajans in which they will be not only given a class but the platform at Sarvadeo Mandir to broadcast their talents to the community.
This class will start off by understanding terminology and move on towards a mix of simple songs and simple raagas. It will then move on towards intermediate level raagas and eventually open the student to Bollywood, ghazals and much more. Classes will be done on a variety of days especially those who wish to choose private lessons. It is encouraged to learn within a group setting either on zoom or in person.
Class curriculum is set to be done online and sometimes even at the Sarvadeo Mandir. There are open times for private lessons and there are scheduled days for group classes.Hindi Classes
